چکیده مقاله 

In this article, we provide a broad overview of the interplay among cognition, belief systems, and institutions, and how they affect economic performance. We argue that a deeper understanding of institutions’ emergence, their working properties, and their effect on economic and political outcomes should begin from an analysis of cognitive processes. We explore the nature of individual and collective learning, stressing that the issue is not whether agents are perfectly or boundedly rational, but rather how human beings actually reason and choose, individually and in collective settings. We then tie the processes of learning to institutional analysis, providing arguments in favor of what can be characterized as “cognitive institutionalism.” Besides, we show that a full treatment of the phenomenon of path dependence should start at the cognitive level, proceed at the institutional level, and culminate at the economic level

در این مقاله ما یک مرور گسترده ای از تاثیرات متقابل و فعل و انفعالات میان موارد شناختی ، سیستم های اقتصادی و موسسات بنیادها و همچنین چگونگی تاثیرات عملکردها و کارایی ها را ارائه می دهیم. ما چنین استدلال می کنیم که یک درک عمیق تر از ظهور موسسات و بنیادها، ویژگی ها و خواص کار آن ها و اثرات آن ها در نتایج و خروجی های اقتصادی و سیاسی باید از یک آنالیز و تجزیه و تحلیل فرآیندهای شناختی آغاز شود. ما در واقع ماهیت آموزش و یادگیری های فردی و جمعی را با تاکید بر موضوع و مسئله ی این که این عوامل کاملا و یا به صورت محدودی منطقی هستند مورد بررسی قرار می دهیم، اما تمرکز ما بیشتر به چگونگی وجود و خلق انسان و همچنین عقل انسانی و انتخاب ها و به صورت جداگانه در تنظیمات جمعی را مورد بررسی قرار می دهیم.  ما سپس فرآیندهای یادگیری و آموزشی را به تجزیه و تحلیل های نهادی و بنیادی محدود می کنیم که در واقع با ارائه ی استدلال هایی در رابطه با چگونگی شناسایی آن ها به عنوان نهادگرایی شناختی می باشد.  علاوه بر این، ما نشان می دهیم که یک پردازش کامل از پدیده های وابستگی مسیر، باید در سطح شناختی شروع شود که در سطح سازمانی ادامه دارد و در سطح اقتصادی به مقدار اوج خود می رسد.

Abstract. Interpretations are as unique as the professionals who produce them. That being the case, how do we find out what factors contribute to choices made in an interpretation, particularly when a majority of the work tasks involved in the interpreting process occur, unobservable, in the brain of the practitioner. Think Aloud Protocols (TAP) provide a means for gaining access to the inner workings of interpreting practitioners. TAPs have been used in researching translation between two written languages but applying the research method to signed language interpreters has required a bit of adaptation as performing a TAP during simultaneous, or even consecutive, work is cumbersome to near impossible. In studying the inner workings of signed language interpreters, TAPs can be used effectively to access the thinking during preparation for the task of simultaneous interpreting and then again in accessing the thoughts in reviewing the simultaneous work just produced. The use of TAPs are effective in informing many aspects of interpreting work that have long been hidden from inspection, including, but not limited to: decision-making process, facts that influence translation choices in the moment, and monitoring & correction strategies. TAPs, with modifications, are just as viable for accessing the inner workings of interpreters working in real time, simultaneously or consecutively as for use with translator's work.
